This week instead of covering the Southside Maverick Band, we covered the Alma Airedale Band. This was the second time for us to travel to Airedale stadium.

For the Alma Band Program, they were holding their Band Night. During pregame, the middle school band joined the High School band on the field to play Land of a Thousand Dances and the Alma Fight Song. As the middle school band made their way off the field, the high school band preformed the National Anthem.

In the stands the Alma Band danced and cheered on their team. The students enjoyed the game as their team was up during the first quarter. After a few stand tunes, the color guard and percussion made their way to the back parking lot to warm up. The winds warmed up to the side of the home stands.

For their 2019 halftime show, the Alma Band's show is titled "Pinball." During the performance, the color guard uses large silver globes to illustrate the game of pinball. The show is exciting and moving.

Overall, I had a great time watching and hearing the Alma Marching Band. They are having a great season and I wish them well. I apologized for publishing this article so late.

Arkansas River Valley bands will be at Magazine on November 1st for their Week 10 Friday Night Feature of the Magazine Marching Band.
